1. Who is responsible
DÉCOUVRE ton petit coin is responsible for the processing described below. Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK): 89407334. Business address: Touwslager 3D, 9502 KD Stadskanaal, the Netherlands. Send questions and privacy requests to info@decouvretonpetitcoin.nl or write to this address.
2. When you visit the website
To display and protect the website, hosting and network services process technical data such as your IP address, visit time, requested page, browser details and any error messages. This data is used to deliver pages, investigate faults and prevent abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The website has no customer accounts, newsletter registration, order form or payment form. We do not maintain our own database of visitor profiles. The website is for adults; it does not ask for your date of birth, health information or intimate personal circumstances.
3. When you email us
We use your email address, your name if supplied, and your message and any attachments to handle your enquiry. For general questions, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in being reachable and responding carefully. If you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we process the data needed for those steps at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Writing to us is your choice. Without a working email address and enough information, we may be unable to answer. Share only what is needed; do not include identity documents, health information or intimate details with an ordinary enquiry. We do not use your message to send advertising without consent.
4. Cookies and the choice guide
We have not installed advertising cookies, marketing pixels or visitor tracking. Hosting and security services may use strictly necessary cookies or similar measures to keep the website available and secure.
Your selection in the guide stays only in the open page’s working memory. We do not send it to our server or save it in a customer profile, cookie or local storage. It disappears when you reload or close the page. The language follows the web address you open.
5. Providers and processing outside Europe
We use providers for hosting, network traffic, image delivery and security, and an email service for correspondence. They may receive the data needed to provide their service. Processors act under the applicable data processing arrangements; a provider may also have its own legal or security obligations. We do not sell your data or share your messages with advertisers.
The technical infrastructure operates internationally. Data may therefore be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Such transfers are covered by an applicable European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses, with additional safeguards where needed. Email info@decouvretonpetitcoin.nl to request information about recipients and a copy or explanation of the applicable safeguards.
We disclose data to competent authorities when legally required, processing only what is necessary for that obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
6. How long data is kept
The guide keeps your selection only while the open page remains active, as described in section 4. No lasting selection profile is created.
Email retention depends on resolving your enquiry and any agreed follow-up. Once those matters are completed, correspondence that is no longer needed is deleted. For an ongoing complaint, dispute or legal retention obligation, only relevant data is kept until the matter is resolved and the applicable legal period has expired.
There is no single retention period for technical logs across all hosting and security services. The criteria are website delivery, the nature and duration of a fault or security investigation, and applicable legal obligations. We do not create a separate visitor log of our own. You can ask us which period or criteria apply to your data.
For privacy requests, we retain only the data needed to handle the request and demonstrate how it was handled. Any complaint, dispute or applicable legal obligation also determines whether further retention is necessary.
7. Security and careful use
The website uses an encrypted HTTPS connection. We restrict access to correspondence to the people and providers who need it to handle your enquiry. If you suspect that data has become accessible unintentionally, report it to info@decouvretonpetitcoin.nl.
We do not build individual advertising profiles or make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
8. Your rights and objections
You can request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal data. Where the GDPR provides this right, you can also request portability of data you supplied. Legal obligations or other people’s rights may limit these rights.
You can object on grounds relating to your particular situation to processing based on legitimate interests. We will assess your objection and stop that processing unless a legally permitted overriding reason applies.
Email your request to info@decouvretonpetitcoin.nl. We respond within one month. If the complexity or number of requests requires an extension, we will explain the reason within that month; the extension can be no longer than two additional months. Only if we reasonably doubt your identity will we request the extra information needed to verify it; do not send a copy of your identity document unsolicited.
You can complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority, or another competent supervisory authority. A link to the Dutch authority appears at the bottom of this page.
9. Changes
The update date appears at the top of this page. If our processing changes, we will update this notice before the new processing starts. Where a new purpose or feature requires consent, we will ask for it beforehand.
